About me
My name is Enrico, I was born in Milan in 1966.
Photography entered my life almost by chance, during a trip to Paris in the 1990s. A friend handed me his SLR, I looked through the viewfinder, snapped the shot... and I haven't stopped since.
When I returned to Italy I bought my first camera, a Yashica FX-3 Super 2000. I studied books, magazines, exhibitions and manuals, but my real school was the street: observing, walking, photographing.
After a break, thanks also to my wife Elena, I resumed photography with renewed passion.
I alternate between digital and film, with a predilection for black and white, and a direct and sincere style. I love street photography for its immediacy, but I also explore the use of flash and artificial light to transform reality into something more intimate and personal.
I've been sharing my work on this site since 2005. Some of my images have been published in books, magazines, and newspapers.
If you've made it this far, thank you for your time and attention.
Enrico
